I enjoyed this book even more than the Princess Diaries books, which I didn't think was possible. I loved the character of Jenny, who goes from being nice girl to nice girl making a difference. All the characters are enjoyable, from "teen idol" Luke to best-friend-who-needs-attitude-adjustment Trina to "isn't he perfect for Jenny?" school paper editor Scott. I couldn't put it down until I finished it.
Teen Idol is a daring attempt at a funny and interesting story. Its storyline was appropriete and original, but it has a lack of needed writing skills. If there was more description and less unneeded details it would have soured up to the top twenty. The humor and storyline were very informative and kept you quite interested but I tend to go for books that I really cant put down but this book I could have done without. The ending is good and I find that it is the best part of the book but I truthfully have read better. It is a good piece of literature but could use some improvement. For some I recommend it, for others, I do not.

It left me unsatisfied. I skimmed half the book. I wanted a great romance book and I did not get it. It was disappointing.
