Placed in a landscape, which is beautiful but eerie at the same time, this story lures into a gripping world where the greatest monsters aren't those which go bump in the night.

Anastasia isn't good girl. Well, at least, anymore. She's sent off to her grandparents and into a new school, where her reputation proceeds her. All hopes of a new beginning are smashed as she comes head to head with bullies, mythology and a very enticing love interest.

It took me a few pages to get into this book, but once I did, it was a lovely read. Anastasia is a bundle of self-doubt, although she packs an attitude at times. But this is nothing in compared to the girls she runs into at her new high school. Their down-right nastiness wins over complete sympathy for Anastasia, making up for any corners she might have. In general, the characters miss a little depth, but when Frost pounces in, he radiates with politeness, creating a wonderful counter to the others.

The setting is perfectly chosen--beautiful, natural, yet carrying a nice touch of creepiness. The mythological elements mold into a well layered weave of darkness and mystery, making a great mix.

Summed up, this is a nice read for young fans of paranormal, which is sure to capture the attention until the early hours of the morning.

Recommend for all!

Well written this story is of young sweet love, wear wolves, and trouble. Lots of trouble!

Anastasia was sent to Cedar Falls because her mother couldn't handle the teen she has become. Anastasia doesn't even understand how she could have strayed so far from her true self.
Then she meets Frost. A hot guy with the most beautiful eyes. Why does Grandfather hate him so? There are lots of rumors in the lil town about this boy. He is always there for her. Even when the cougar attacks. Now everyone is freaking out, saying there is a wear wolf, there is no such thing as a wear wolf. Right?!
A must read!!!
I have to say, at my age, I am not a big fan of YA, but just wanted to see what one was like. This book was a free offering from , so I decided why not. Putting aside the age of the main characters, that being high school, my biggest complaint was with how long it took to get to the substance of the story line. Some of it didn't really make a lot of since, plot wise, and I am not really sure if it was because there were too many small details or not enough details to truly develop out the story. I will admit, that it was an entertaining story. Anastasia is hitting a rough spot...like so many teens...and just needs to find herself. Frost...knows who he is, but won't really accept it. While it was a great story, there is a couple of things I would really like to know.

Is the class mate, and total mean girl Kate, is her grandmother Julia really crazy or did the family just want to put her out of sight? Is Anastasia's mother some how connected to the happenings that happened back when Frost was born? And the ending of the story...SPOILER ALERT...is just so reminiscent of Cujo.
This was an easy, light read that I felt fullfilled the duty of a good paranormal romance. I felt the plot was a good, strong one. The ending was fairly well-done, but since I heard this is a series, I feel the cliffhanger could have been a little more jaw-dropping. When I finished, I didn't feel the overwhelming need to read more.

One thing that really brought the book down a star was the romance. There was really no depth in the relationship. It went from both people think each other is awestruckingly beautiful and then boom, they are together. When, in real life, there is usually some emotional growth, not just physical. Honestly, the romance disgusted me. While I was touched and got butterflies quite a bit, I felt that the only thing holding together their relationship was the situation they were in and the want for each other's bodies.

Overall, I thought this book was written fairly well. While some spots were weak and were written, I felt, to fill in the required blank of sex and curse words that society demands, I think Heather Beck did a fine job. I would recommend her book for those who like light, easy reads with good plots. But if you are someone, like me, who likes extreme depth, I do not recommend Frostbitten.
What drew me to the book was the cover it's so pretty and I had to read it. Frost he was adorable, "I want to ask you something," Frost muttered, while slowly running his fingers along the side of Anastasia's face in a slightly nervous manner. "Will you be my girlfriend?" I mean the boy is suave, "how else did you expect to cover so much ground in so little time?" he asked with a devilish smile, right before wrapping Anastasia in his arms and kissing her with a deep, almost hunger-like desire." He also has a way with calming his woman down, "shh..." Frost whispered, while stroking her hair. "I'm sure it's nothing, and to stop you from worrying needlessly maybe I can take your mind somewhere else." Appearing nervous, Frost leaned forward and kissed Anastasia." I really did love this book.
I got Frostbitten as a freebie in 2015 and only got to it 4 days ago!! I enjoyed this book more than I have expected. This book is an easy read and keeps you wondering during same stages during the book. But all through I kept feeling that we have been here before. There is a lot of similarities between Frostbitten and Twilight, minus the Vampires. Bella's father have been replaced by Anastasia's grandfather. Edward have been replaced by Frost. Do not get me wrong this does not take away the fact that Frostbitten can stand on it's own and that I did not enjoyed it. That is evident by the fact that I have completed it, took time to write this review , and not deleted it after a few pages like I did with some other books that I have started.
I even came back to see if there is a follow up and was a little disappointed when I could not find one. That must say something...
